INTERVIEW WITH MUSICIAN LIAM C

“Liam C in 5 years will be jamming to 97,000 seats at Wembley stadium in 5 years. Facts"

STANDING ON A STREET CORNER IN SOHO ONE FRIDAY AFTERNOON HAVING A BEER I WAS APPROACHED BY AN 18 YEAR OLD BUSKER WHO INSISTED I LISTEN TO HIS NEW SINGLE, I'M GLAD I DID! MEET LIAM C, AS SOON AS HE STRUMMED THE UKULELE AND SPIT SOME BARS I NEW I HAD TO GET HIM INTO THE HOBO JOURNAL! HE SAYS HE'LL BE SELLING OUT WEMBLEY IN 5 YEARS. I AIN'T GONNA ARGUE WITH HIM.

What got you into music?

I never got into music, I kinda fell into It. I was 16 and had came to London for a day out. I ran out of money and my girl- friend cleaned out a pot she had in her bag and said I should try and busk. I did, I made enough to get us a hotel that night and have a mad one in Camden...I never stepped foot back in college after that day.

You play the Ukulele, why that? Do you play any other instruments?

I play the ukulele and a bit of guitar. I feel one of my rules to music is being unique and if I’m honest you see a lot more singer song writer rappers with a guitar I’m yet to see one with a ukulele.

Who's your inspiration past and present?

If I’m honest Their are so many things that inspire me. My mum brought me and my sister up single handily and made sure I never missed out on anything, that inspires me to work hard and do everything I can in my power not to let her down however if we are talking music no one shakes a room better than the Gallagher’s

What's the best advise you have been given?

The best advice I’ve been give other than be your self was from my uncle. He told me to live by 4 traits. Honesty, integrity, loyalty and trust I feel with them 4 attributes you’ll do alright

Your dream collaboration?

There are 3 artist I dream of collabing with. Ed Sheeran for his ability to write, Jamie t because he’s just a f***** legend and a south London band called the manor because when they go off they do it properly !

What's been the stand out moment of your short career so far?

Freestyling with slowthai really stands out for me as it was the first time I actually gelled with another artist. I surprised myself with the confidence I had and delivery of improvised bars. That got me gassed can’t lie.

Do you think it’s important this day and age to be signed to a record label?

Na signing a deal is no biggie for me. I’ll just do my thing and climb the ladder as far as I can. With or without a label, you can do so much on your own if your doing it for the right reasons !

Who's gonna be your supporting artist :) ?

Man I feel like I’d love to bring devlin out at a show you know, I’ve Been listening to him since I was small and to be honest no one will ever beat devs bar for bar. He’s also an Essex boy like me so the on stage chemistry would be mad.

Do you have any exciting projects in the pipeline?

I’m working on my debut album non stop and playing where ever I can, also blessing the studio with people I never thought I would before so we will see what happens.

Where is Liam gonna be in the next five years?

Liam C in 5 years will be jamming to 97,000 seats at Wembley stadium in 5 years. Facts.
